Wanna have some fun? Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home is at it again! Join us December 5th from 5-7 PM for our upcoming artist reception. We’ll be featuring the artwork of local artist Maryann Artesani. Being diagnosed with Secondary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis in 1998, Maryann has a unique ability to express hope and a renewed vision of life through the eyes of living with this diagnosis. She is a watercolorist with a robust interest in the beautiful Floridian lifestyle as her work highlights animals, floral and fauna that are unique to our gorgeous state! And, as always, we’ll be serving the best food and wine in town! The reception is part of the Charlotte County Art Council’s “Art in Public Places” program. The fun is at 9400 Indian Springs Cemetery Rd. in Punta Gorda. Call 941-639-1171 for more information.View details.

Twice a year a very interesting thing happens at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home, Cemetery &Crematory. Family members who have recently lost a loved one bring in items of clothing that belonged to their dearly departed. Our sewing volunteers then help family members cut, sew and stuff the clothes turning them into a beautiful teddy bear that will be cherished as a comforting and heartfelt memory for years to come. The Memory Bear Workshop happens twice a year. Families are asked to RSVP because the popular event is always full. There is no charge and Charlotte Memorial provides morning treats and a light lunch. Everyone is welcome but they must call and RSVP. Our upcoming Memory Bear Workshop will be held on Saturday, March 30th, 2019 starting at 9:30 AM at 9400 Indian Spring Cemetery Road in Punta Gorda. Your contact person is Rick Tuss, Owner and Managing Partner. He can be reached at 941-639-1171.View details.
